The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing hail from London, UK. About The Event
MIWA GEMINI
http://www.miwagemini.com
“I have been playing music ever since I can remember. Growing up in a small town in Japan I always dreamed of living and singing in New York City, like Billie Holiday. I’ve been enchanted with her music since I was little. I’ve been lucky enough to be compared to many musicians that I admire including Nina Simone and Bjork. I have traveled all over the United States and Canada, sometimes by myself and sometimes with my band. My band is wonderfully colorful with a unique casts, but since 2012, Rebekah has been an integral part of my creative process and performances. Rebekah and I met playing with the Main Squeeze Orchestra, an all female accordion orchestra.
This year I’m about to launch my 4th album, something that’s been in the making for the last 3 years. It was not my intention for it to take this long but the album kept on getting bigger and bigger. It’s been a fantastic whirlwind of a journey and I can’t thank all the talented people who have generously contributed their time and creativity enough. The songs remain as eclectic as before if not more so, drawing inspiration from unexpected places, such as Jack Kerouac, Sherlock Holmes and a Woody Allen movie to name a few. As in the past some of my imaginary friends (muses) will be making appearances, these include a trapeze artist named Miss Scarlet and her best friend Zoe the circus elephant. Besides writing songs for the next Miwa Gemini release, I was recently asked to be part of some other exciting projects, including Steve Buscemi’s odd ball talk show, Park Bench. I got to write a slew of songs for this off beat gem including the theme song “What a Life” and a whole cast singalong “Park Bench.” Rebekah and I also appear on the show as part of the Main Squeeze Orchestra”.

LYS GUILLORN
http://www.lysguillorn.com/about
Lys Guillorn is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Shelton, Connecticut. She is of the same musical school as Laura Veirs, and Kristin Hersh, with a little Emmylou Harris thrown in: dreamy, lyric-driven, melodically interesting, and undefinable. She calls her genre of music "Avant-Twang."
Lys Guillorn’s recent sound is best described as “Nancy Sinatra on a grunge bender.” The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Shelton, Connecticut is a stylistic shape-shifter, dipping her blue cowgirl boots in folk and psych-rock. She has two full-length studio records of original material, an oddities collection, and a couple of EPs on her own label Little Cowgirl Records.
“So if oddly uplifting, folk, blues country-infused acoustic semi-electric psychedelic dark pop music is your thing, please say hello to Lys Guillorn, you'll get along just fine.” - Geraint Jones, Comes With a Smile #14 (U
